Private tours from Marrakech

9 private trips · from 2 days to 13 days · starting from Marrakech

Marrakech is the most popular starting point for a trip into the south of Morocco. From the city, the road climbs over the High Atlas by the Tizi n'Tichka pass and opens onto the Road of Kasbahs, the Draa and Dades valleys and, beyond them, the Sahara.

Our private tours from Marrakech range from a two-day escape to the dunes of M'hamid to a thirteen-day journey around the country. Three days is the minimum for the Erg Chebbi dunes at Merzouga; with four or five days you gain a second night in the desert and a gentler pace. Some tours end in Fes or Chefchaouen, which saves the drive back.

Every tour is private, with your own vehicle and driver-guide, and every itinerary can be adapted. Not sure how long to go for? See how many days you need in Morocco.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose a private tour or a group tour?

A private tour gives you your own vehicle and driver-guide, your own pace and the freedom to stop wherever you like; it is also the easiest way to adapt the route, the hotels and the activities. All our multi-day tours are private; day trips can be private or in a small group.

Can I travel alone on a private tour?

Yes. Private tours work for any group size, including solo travellers: you have the vehicle and the driver-guide to yourself. Because the cost of the car and driver is not shared, the price per person is higher than for a couple or a group; ask us for a quote.

Which languages do the driver-guides speak?

Our driver-guides speak English and French. Spanish or Italian can be arranged on request when you book, especially for local city guides.

How many days do I need in Morocco?

Plan at least 7 days for a first trip: enough for one imperial city, the Sahara and Marrakech. With 3 days you can do Marrakech and one night in the desert; 10 days covers the four imperial cities, Chefchaouen and the Sahara at a relaxed pace; two weeks or more adds the Atlantic coast.
